Hamasaki AyumiJust took the time to answer the short survey provided by minna iru kai.

1. What was the first Japanese song that you ever listened to?
I think it was a trance remix of Hamasaki Ayumi’s Fly High. I bet there was a song before that one too, but I probably didn’t know what I was listening to at that time.

2. Did it inspire you to like that group/singer, or did it turn you away?
I was excited! Even though I was a big fan of manga at the time, I had no idea I would start listening to Japanese music.

3. What is the one song that you have been listening to for the longest time?
Gosh that’s a hard question… Maybe Suzuki Airi’s live singing of FIRST KISS from C-ute’s concert in 2007.

4. What group/singer have you liked the longest?
ELLEGARDEN, miaou and Hamasaki Ayumi (although I rarely listen to her nowadays).

5. What is the song with the most plays on your itunes/media player?
If I don’t count the songs that I always fall asleep to it would be pasteboard – cacao.

6. Is that song your favorite?

Top 5 at least.

7. If not, what is?
I don’t really have just one favorite.

8. Is there any one group that you can listen to all/most of the songs by? If so, who?
Leo Imai, pasteboard, Buono!, ELLEGARDEN, Aragaki Yui and Monkey Majik.

9. What is your favorite agency?
UP-FRONT I guess, but I don’t really care a lot about agencies.

10. What is your favorite group/singer?
Do I really have to choose just one? Well, I’ll go with Leo Imai then.

Feel free to take the survey and post your answers on the original post at minna iru kai!

Although there was nothing wrong with the old one, it was kind of about time they updated it. It now comes in Flash, but not completely, which is good. It looks good, but the profile page is a little boring, they could have filled it up with interesting information rather than just age and bloodtype. Well, there might be more coming. Good thing it’s easy to navigate for us foreigners, Flash = no Rikaichan so it would be a pain for some it was all in Japanese.

I hope you enjoy it! Buono! Official Site

Real Onigokko

Real OnigokkoJust finished watching this movie called Real Onigokko starring Tanimura Mitsuki and Ishida Takuya. It’s a really weird movie about this guy who is transported to a parallel world where The Imperial is hunting down everyone whose surname is Satou because there are too many people with that name. Just watch the trailer and you’ll understand why this is a must watch.

Thanks to Drazic from HaroRangers for recommending it!

Laser RainLeo Imai released his third album last week and it’s something I think you should get your hands on! This guy is seriously about to become my favorite artist, he’s so freaking cool!

If you haven’t heard any of his music, check out these two videos from his new album. You should also take a look at his second album Fix Neon which is simply amazing.

You should go and order his new album now.

This category has been removed, no need to read this post.

I’ve decided to add a new thing to the blog, and it’s called “Short Stories”. As you’ve now noticed, it’s located at the very top of the sidebar and it’s supposed to contain shorter blog posts and announcements. This will keep the front page from being cluttered with posts that are too short or doesn’t need that much attention.

I’m not sure if I’m going to include these posts in the main RSS feed, or use a separate feed for them. I don’t want the main feed to be cluttered either so it might be a good idea to make it a separate feed. I’ll keep them in the main feed for now though.

Well, either way, stay tuned for some new short stories!

LOTTE Fit's

Just came across these commercials and dance contest videos. The song is quite annoying but it looks like fun, maybe I should give it a try? Oh! Just got a great idea, maybe I should have a dance contest, would you participate if you were able to win electronics and stuff? I’m moving in May so I have a lot of stuff to get rid of.

↓ I vote for this guy! I’ll give you a present if you beat him.

See all of the videos at LOTTE’s YouTube channel.

KDDI's solar-powered mobile phoneKDDI who has been working together with Okinawa Cellular has announced that they will release Japan’s first solar powered mobile phone already in June this year. The phone is created by Sharp and apart from being powered by the sun, it’s also waterproof. The solar panel is installed on the top of the phone and about 10 minutes of sunlight is enough for 1 minute of talk time, and up to 2 hours of stand-by time. So yeah, 1 hour in the sun equals 6 minutes of talk time which isn’t too good, but the stand-by time is quite incredible.

They haven’t announced a price for it yet, but I wouldn’t expect it to be cheap. They don’t mention if it’s possible to charge it the old fashion way so I’m guessing that’s not possible, which means, if you’re in an emergency on a cloudy day, you’re screwed. But if it’s possible, it would be great if it could use the sun as it’s primary power source but don’t rely on it completely.

Either way, as I care for the environment a lot and like being as green as I can, I think this is great news!
