The thing I love most about idol concerts besides the wotagei, is “Mix”.

“Mix” are chants performed during overtures or instrumentals at various idol concerts. There’re many different forms of “Mix” for each group, we’ll take AKB48 for example. If you’ve watched any of AKB48 concerts. Then you’re bound to have heard the 1st chant.

The first chant is the most common of the 3 and can be heard at the beginning of most songs. There’re 3 chants that can be used during each song. That is, given the chance.

The 2nd chant can heard during the 2nd instrumental but never before the 1st chant. “Ponytail to Shushu” for example has both the 1st and 2nd chant during the beginning.

The 3rd chant isn’t very common. It’s only shouted during the 3rd instrumental which most songs don’t have. There’s always a chance to use it during the overture. So don’t forget it! “Jealousy no Alibi” by SKE48 includes all 3!
