Ayumi Got Married!

Published on January 4th, 2011.

Devastating news to any male Ayu fans, but Ayumi Hamasaki has gotten married on New Year’s Day 1-1-11 to Manuel Schwarz. He’s an Austrian actor who currently works in the US. Schwarz played her bridegroom in Hamasaki’s latest music video for her song Virgin Road. From playing one to being one. This seems a bit unreal, and if it’s a publicity stunt then it’s a really good one. ^^;

Virgin Road appears on Hamasaki’s latest album titled Love songs. Below is a snippet of the video from her YouTube channel and a making of video.

      @And then you walk outside and within 5 seconds see 10 girls that look exactly the same. Nothing to be jealous of dude. Go out and enjoy yourself :P

    Being married does not mean much in Japan, I’we seen some polls where they say that there is a 40% chance that your Japanese wife will cheat on you. :(

      You and your polls… That doesn’t mean marriage doesn’t mean much in Japan. That’s probably because Japanese men work so much that they don’t have time for their wives. And it’s not only in Japan. According to some of the researches I’ve read it’s just as high here in the west, even more in some places.

      Well, some species of birds supposedly mate for life. In actuality, that’s not the case either. The female birds continually “cheat” to get the best genetic make-up for her kids.

      Don’t want to say that’s just how nature rolls, but being unfaithful definitely isn’t purely a Japanese thing.

      Well said!

      And the chance of a man cheating is even higher. So I wouldn’t be too worried about that number haha.

      Awesome! And with both of these ‘entertainers’ work schedules putting them in different parts of the globe, that’s pushed up to.. what 150%?

      Yeah it’s probably closer to that :P

    I found it a bit odd, especially since they have only nown each other for 4-5 months and he will not live in Japan but in LA. It might be a dekikon as several celebrity marriages in Japan this year or then it might be the real thing who knows. The only thing is, what happens when they have kids and the child will look nothing like what Ayu looks like now.(I always thought she was cuter without the excessive plastic surgery)
