FRIDA – Swedish Pop in Japan

“Wow!” is quite the right word for this Swedish girl who’s just about to release her debut album in Japan. Frida Sundemo is her name and she’s from Gothenburg, just like me. Frida has a very sweet voice that she combines with a playful, happy pop sound that actually derives from a more complex reality, which makes her lyrics really great. Frida has been working with music for a long time, but about three years ago she got herself her very first music studio. Three years later, after experimenting with different sounds, she has found the right thing for her and is now working with @ Victor Entertainment. Frida’s debut album “Dear, Let it out” will be released on June 23.

I’m very excited about this, I think Japan needs more Swedish. So I’m going to preorder this CD right after I finish up this post, and if you like her sound, I hope you do too!

      Otherwise you could always take a look on Jpopsuki, although I doubt it’d be on there…

      i did try that before and yeah since i’m not in japan at the moment i can’t purchase the album.
      stupid apple =.= i’ve been hunting it down since it came out.

      now i’m trying to see if a contact of mine at HMV jp can find someone in victor music :D hahaha
