in Galleries,Gyaru Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, it’s been raining for three days in a row and the mid-week depression is telling us to call in sick at work. But of course we don’t and end up just being wet and grumpy all day. But I think I’ve found the perfect solution! I’ve now officially turned Wednesday into Gyaru Wednesday! So from now on, every Wednesday you will be able to enjoy a gallery of colorful gyarus carefully picked by me.

Hopefully this won’t backfire with thoughts of you not being in Shibuya :P

So there you have it, 25 pictures of gyarus of different styles to lighten up the day. Now get back to work you lazy bum!

Thanks to GET WILD & BE SEXY!

When I first saw the top image and read the title there, I thought it said “Girl & Porn” and I was thinking ‘Oh ya Yonasu… get wild.’

Ha ha!

Nevertheless, good choice of images. Very colorful and interesting looking girls.

pardon my ignorance, what are “Gyaru”? Japanese girls in brightly coloured clothing?

Not really, gyarus are girls of the younger generations who generally have no interest in working or getting married, and are very much into fashion. There are many varieties though, but the definition of the modern gyaru as seen on Wikipedia is: “Gyaru-kei (ギャル系): Is the modern general gyaru style. It has many substyles such as Amekaji(American Casual), Saike(Psyche), Bohemian, Rokku(Rock), and Haady, which a creation of Egg magazine that includes bright, wild prints tied in with a punk style fashion.”.

You’ve got Komori Jun on picture 1 and 3. Here’s her blog: http://ameblo.jp/komori-jun/ She’s on TV on daily basis. Model & Talent.

It’s been some time since I made a stop here. You’ve got a very solid layout & design now. Like it a lot! Nice job Yonasu.

I love Gyaru style, as I mentioned in the past in MSN, thought your not that into them.
Btw not all are actually Gyaru what you posted, some are punk lolitas. Still hot and I would hump all if I could. :D

I like gyarus, but there are many styles, ganguro is one style for example and that’s disturbingly horrible. And no, they are not punk lolitas, they are gyarus. The modern gyaru-kei has many substyles, like rock and American casual, lolitas have a very different style.
