HANGRY & ANGRY is a Japanese pop-rock group consisting of ex-Morning Musume members Hitomi Yoshizawa (Hangry) and Rika Ishikawa (Angry). They have a gothic/punk style, and were created in 2008 to promote the fashion brand HANGRY & ANGRY.
When I first heard about HANGRY & ANGRY I had pretty high expectations of them as they both go well with the image. Hitomi has always been very tomboyish and Rika just has the face for it, but in my humble opinion that just isn’t enough.
When it comes to the actual singing I’m quite disappointed. I don’t think their songs live up to their images, especially with Hitomi’s look I expected them to be more like Tsuchiya Anna, it’s just too weak. That being said, they have two songs that I somewhat like, Angelia and Romantic ni Violence.
Even though I don’t fully enjoy their music (yet), I do enjoy their wild outfits, they are to quote Buono!’s Rock no Kamisama “crazy cool!”.
Well, I hope they release something really good soon! I’d be happy to hear what you think about HANGRY & ANGRY, but if you don’t have an opinion, just enjoy the following pictures.

Too “Punk” for my Taste >.<
Maybe I should listen to there music before judging there appearances ^^;;
I’m not really into the punk/goth style either, I like the cute stuff^^ But I do think that their outfits are cool!
I’d say it’s too punk for my tastes too, but I can’t help to look at them like the cute girls they were in Morning Musume. They both are in my top5 favorites in H!P of all times. Angelia and Romantic ni Violence are my favorite songs in the first album too, I was expecting something more of the second one, but it’s still enjoyable.
Even tough they were never the best singers, Hitomi impressed me in this group, I think she’s doing well.
I don’t really like that visual style, I mean in metal I prefer something like power or any other real music, not visual. And with Idols I prefer something extremely cute, but lastly I have been listening H&A too much.
Yeah I agree, I keep thinking of how cute they were in Morning Musume, but I think the image fits Yoshizawa very well. None of them are in my top 10 in H!P of all time though.
Maybe they should’ve just modeled for the brand instead of actually singing…
I just sampled their album, was a little shocked. ^^; It sounded better in concert, but the recordings aren’t that great. I guess with the entire concert atmosphere it was easier to overlook the vocals?
That new photoshoot is super fierce though!
I actually like H&D very much. I think it is the fact that they reminds me of T.A.T.U, and the fact that they look awesome of course.
I think T.A.T.U is better music-wise though^^

I thought their album was missing something as well. As if it was mixed wrong, or the vocals were set up in a weird way.
they are performing for almost 10 yrs now..
yossie is cool in that image..its fit very well..
i think yossie’s voice is nice,as well as rika..
i like angelia and top secret..
yossie is my #1 fav in HP,cause she’s really talented.
she’s the leader of ogaku gatas team,she can sing,dance and act..
and i can’t ask for more..
we have something in common..
she’s fun to be with..
