in Japan

Now that I’ve gotten the trip-here-post over with, I can finally start publishing posts and pictures of Tokyo!

The first thing I took a picture of was the view from my room, my room is at the 16th floor and I was quite amazed to see this view over Tokyo at night.

After about an hour at the hotel I went out to the konbinis to get some evening snacks and breakfast. At this time I was still very tired so I only took a couple of pictures, will get more chances though^^

The above picture is the street just outside of Grand Arc Hanzomon.

I was glad to see that the konbinis were so close by, when I looked on Google Maps it looked like they were much further away. It was just about a two-minute walk. Found the Hanzomon station on my way back too!

My first purchase in Japan! Do not buy BOSS Café au Lait (beige can), it’s disgusting. BLACK coffee is good though.

Watched some TV before I went to sleep, some random girls singing Sakuranbo, well, two of the girls were singing while the third (on the right) was moaning xD

I have a huge amount of channels to choose from and everything is in HD, so I’m in love with this TV^^

Have heaps of fun and take care of yourself over there!

You should try ファミチキ (from Famima), I think it’s quite delicious (especially for conbini food). XD

Which konbini did you go to? I’ve been getting off and on konbini cravings for the past five years. Luckily, I stumbled upon a Family Mart in Seoul a couple weeks ago. I was literally a kid in a candy store >:D

I went to three different ones, Lawson, am pm and another one I don’t remember the name of. I also used a vending machine^^

I beg to differ. BOSS cafe au lait is AMAZING. I also like normal ice coffee though. MMMmmmm.

Oh you lucky bastard. You’re so gonna have a nice time over there while some others – like me – are still stuck in the far north with nothing to do but being jealous. On the other hand, following your trip will be more interesting from now on. Make sure to enjoy it and share every little experience – can’t wait to read more. ^__^

That’s odd. I tried the beige can of BOSS coffee before and didn’t think it was that bad. It might be because my taste buds are accustomed to the weird kopi in Singapore though. I’ll give the black can a try.

I had a recent experience with trying to find a train station using Google Maps. It was a lot closer than it seemed on the map as well.

Glad to hear you’re settling in well.

Well, I don’t put sugar in my coffee, it was too sweet, but it has a unique taste I didn’t like at all. The black one is just normal black coffee.

Ahhh konbini food! To be honest, I think sandwiches are way more disgusting than anything else — go for onigiri or bento! :)
