I would never have even considered buying an iPod Classic, until I saw this.
If that doesn’t make you want to buy an iPod, I don’t know what will. If this was a real ad by Apple, I would’ve most likely bought one, haha. [click to continue…]
This might come as a surprise to many Hello! Project fans out there, and since Kamei Eri has been my favorite idol for many years now, I understand your feelings, but do I feel the same?
For those who don’t know who these people are, they’re part of an idol agency called the Up-Front Group. The idols on this agency are put under a family name called Hello! Project, and the mothership of H!P is Morning Musume, a group that was once super famous but has lost most of its significance as of today. Morning Musume has been active since 1997 and a total of 25 girls have been part of it. The word “graduation” in this context refers to one or more members leaving the group. A graduation of a girl can be caused by several things, for example, a member can graduate for getting too old (this is usually their own decision), wanting to move on to do other things (such as modeling) or breaking their contracts by having boyfriends or smoking.
As a big fan of Kamei, this is a somewhat surprising turn of events, as Kamei was not expected to be the next one to graduate. [click to continue…]
I’ve said it before, Tsugunaga Momoko is the world’s cutest girl, and Google still approves by keeping me in the top when searching for just that, world’s cutest girl. And today I’m happy to share what could be some of the best pictures ever of Momoko, behold, Angel Momoko!
After taking up smoking as a minor and jumping in bed with a middle-aged man and totally screwing her fans over, Ai Kago is back in the business. She’s been doing all kinds of things lately, she’s been in an Hong Kong movie, published a book, lived in Los Angeles, thought about suicide and the list goes on.
As for her music, she released a J-pop single in June 2009 called “no hesitAtIon”, and just last month she released AI KAGO meets JAZZ, an English album with covers of popular jazz songs (+1 Japanese cover).
Ai Kago – no hesitAtIon
I can’t say that I’ve ever been a big fan of Kago, but I did enjoy watching her and Tsuji goofing around back in the days. Her scandals didn’t make things any better, but this jazz album might actually be the thing that can turn things around. My expectations of this album were very low, but Kago really shows that she has become a completely different person, she’s nothing like the Kago we saw in Hello! Project. [click to continue…]
ZBAM! FLAME ON! And so on… Basically what I’m trying to say is, get ready for an epic battle between the all yummy Nozomi Sasaki and the perky Airi Suzuki. Vote in the poll at the end of the post!
The battle couldn’t be more fair, they’re both in a rainbow-colored bikini after all. Body-wise, they have a very similar set of features, but we still have the faces and personalities to base our votes on. Well, it’s up to you my friend, destiny is in your hands! [click to continue…]
Unless you’re new here, you know that I’m a huge fan of idols, so quite obviously I’m following quite a few idol fans on Twitter. Here’s a select 5 who are worth a mention. And when you’re on it, also follow me!
Shirow, author of Wotaku Now! is what I would call a “down to earth wota”. He’s totally obsessed, but in a healthy way, if we don’t look at his British drinking habits of course. He shares a good amount of picspams and is always chatty, but maybe not the best person to follow if you’re easily offended (or if you’re a Mitsui Aika fan).
Tom has been blogging about idols since 2006 on one of the most well-known Hello! Project blogs there are, Hello!Blog. If you are a Hello! Project fan you’re most likely aware of his yearly polls where you make top lists of your favorite Hello! Project idols. He’s a very good and reliable source and always chatty on Twitter.
Was nominated for the International Wota Awards 2009 as for Best Hello! Project blog, didn’t end up as one of the winners but is still a very good source and fun place to be for Hello! Project fans. He’s from the UK just like the two above, for some reason, that’s where the funny fans come from!
Honestly I can’t say that I know much about this guy, except for what his Twitter bio says. What I can say is that he’s strong with the @reply and that he’s just a funny guy to follow, he loves dem idols.
Perhaps one of the biggest Niigaki Risa fans ever, and it’s a girl, who’s also from the UK. She’s the author of omame.co.uk, which quite obviously is a Niigaki Risa fan blog. She’s well worth following, that’s for sure.
Perhaps some of the most talkative Japan/idol fans on Twitter.
Is probably an understatement, but you get the idea. You’re always going to have fun around these fellas, you should probably keep an eye on the people around you if you’re at work and can’t keep yourself from clicking on their links from time to time though^^
I promise, this will be the last blog I will announce at least for a while… haha. IDOL WANTED is basically a Long Live Kameism blog but for all Japanese idols (not AV or gravure though). It’ll be a blend of lovely picspams, videos as well as fast and short news related to idols. With a total of 5 blogs in my blog network I’m finally able to release a proper amount of eye candy to actually please myself, haha.
You can navigate through the network by using the links in the sidebar (on all blogs). Or, if you prefer, you can subscribe to all the blogs via RSS (see links below).
Just two days ago I announced my new Japanese blog where I’m supposed to write in Japanese on a daily basis for practice. But, when you’re using Tumblr, it’s really difficult to keep yourself from doing other stuff with it, like spamming out pictures and videos of Eri (Kamei Eri, my favorite idol). And since I don’t want to spam that blog, nor this blog, I’ve relaunched Long Live Kameism! (A Kamei Eri fansite that used to be located at longlivekameism.com)
All my Tumblr blogs are going to run on the same theme, so it’s like a network where you can use the links in the left sidebar to navigate between them (and this blog). These blogs will not affect my posting frequency here or anything like that!
So if you like Eri, you can either follow the blog with the Tumblr follow thingy, or subscribe to the RSS feed.
Kamei…Rina? What am I talking about? Who is that? Everyone knows my favorite idol Eri Kamei, but Rina? Well, pretty much out of nowhere, Eri’s younger sister, Rina, has entered the showbiz!
Rina is 4 years younger than Eri (currently 17) but already 10 cm taller than Eri, her blood type is the same as Eri’s though, AB. Her special skills are dancing and remembering kanji and her interests are manga, computers, making sweets, cooking and karaoke.
How epic would it be to see Rina becoming a super idol just like Eri? And then they’d create a photobook together and then invite me for dinner…
Her acting history isn’t really worth mentioning yet, but I’m definitely looking forward follow her career from now on.
She’s not as beautiful as Eri, but who knows what she might transform into in the next few years, an alien seems likely.
Well, we can just wait and hope that Rina turns into a second Eri. My mountain is steep and unforgiving, she’s up for a challenge, will she make it to my top 5? Only the goddess knows…
