Kusumi Koharu to Graduate from Hello! Project

Kusumi KoharuI want to say that it’s about time she graduates but that would hurt the Koharu fans, so I won’t say that (although I just did). Apparently it was announced at the first performance of Morning Musume’s 2009 fall tour, Nine Smile. According to the translation by tobyD via Hello!SayuNii, she is planning on becoming a full-time model, a wise idea in my opinion seeing as she can’t sing. Apparently modeling is one of her dream jobs, the question is if she can compete with other models such as Nozomi Sasaki. I’m not going to try and guess how this turns out, but I will keep an eye on her!

I feel bad for her fans in Hello! Project but it’s probably a good idea considering how Hello! Project continues losing it’s popularity.

Hahaha xD I’m usually not a hater and it’s definitely better now than a couple of years ago. Now I just try to avoid her. It’s mostly because I don’t like her singing voice, I’m sure I will enjoy her career more if she becomes a fashion model^^

I hope you’re somehow able to enjoy your weekend as well, try not to think about it!

I feel really sad about Koharu graduating. I know there’s a lot of Koharu hate out there, but I love Koahru. She’s my favorite current Morning Musume member and I can’t believe she is leaving. Morning Musume is going to be really boring without her.
At least if she becomes a model she could become an international star. But she’s too short for that. XD
I do wish the best for Koha though. I think she’ll be a better model than Erika.

It was very unexpected but if someone has to graduate it has to be her. While Ai-chan should graduate soon because of her age, Morning Musume still needs her as a leader. I don’t think the other ones are ready to graduate yet. It’ll be interesting to follow her solo career, it might turn out really well :)

I do hope it will somehow prove to have been a good decision later on.

First thing that came in my mind when I’we read this is ‘FUCK YOU’.
How can anyone be happy about her leaving? Every member is part of the group, and all should be sad if one member leaves, because part of the group is gone to. And those who bash her must have a sad life to hate a cute 17 years old Japanese girl who always tries her best even if she may not be the best.
She had never anything bad in mind in what she is doing, yet people hate her. It’s sad and may all of you haters burn in hell and have a slow painfull death and all those you love. Amen.

For me it’s not about hate, I don’t think she’s a good singer and therefore her solo singing career hasn’t interested me. As a member of Morning Musume she’s been okay but still haven’t been able to attract me in any way like the other members. But it’s not like I hate her because of that. But generally if you don’t like one member in a group, you don’t want her to be there at all.
Judging from what I’ve seen, Koharu seems to be more independent so I think she’ll do better in a solo career, in the entertainment business, but not as a singer.

I used to really dislike her, or at least not appreciate her contribution to the group… but AX changed all that. I think seeing them in person is completely different from watching them on TV and such. She has a really great aura to her, and she interacts with fans awesomely… she even made sure to acknowledge me several times throughout that weekend! It impressed me, because I didn’t expect to be remembered but she was very humorous about it all.

In retrospect, though, I shouldn’t see this as a surprise since she seemed really out of it at AX. I thought either she was really jetlagged or she didn’t want to be there. ^^; According to many fans, it looks like she lost interest around a year ago.

Regardless, now I’m thankful I shelled out for the last concert instead of the second to last. My first Momusu concert (in Japan) and it’ll be a graduation!

Yeah it’s probably different if you meet them in real life, the best would be if you could actually sit down and talk with them^^ She’s been in Morning Musume for over 4 years so she’s definitely learned how to handle the fans well. I haven’t heard anyone mention that she had lost her interest, but that doesn’t come as a surprise really.
Oh really? I think it’ll be a great concert for you then, graduation concerts are probably the best of them all^^
