Merry Christmas with Morning Musume

Two more weeks till Christmas and I’m doing everything I can to enjoy it, it’s only once a year after all. And what better way to celebrate it than with the golden era of Morning Musume? Here are some quite amazing clips of Morning Musume singing Christmas songs. Especially the first video is highly recommended!

Yaguchi’s English is unexpectedly good, actually, everyone’s English is surprisingly good. But I guess you can’t expect anything less from the golden era of Morning Musume!

Next up is the Japanese version of Silent Night.

And of course, we can’t forget about Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer!

And last but not least, a medley including DA PUMP and others.

Thank you MoPriimusu and Merry Christmas everyone!

I love that song! :D When I listened to it the first time, I didn’t think it’d be that serious, and that good! It’s really surprising^^

yea it’s hard to imagine Hamada as serious guy xD I love the live version when Matsumoto stands behind him and always grimaces when Hamada doesnt strike the right tone :D

Haha yeah, but he does actually do a lot of serious stuff besides his career as a comedian^^ It seems like it takes a minute or so before Hamada starts hitting the right tones, but it’s cool how the song just gets better and better! It’s really hard to not sing along during the last 2 minutes of the song^^

he used to have another band, right? those old PV are so funny^^ recently I saw part of a live he did, I liked the song but failed to find out which it is..
i knowww, every time I hear this song I sing “kyooooou wa kurisumasu!” for the rest of the day and ppl look at me like “wtf?” ><

Not a real band that I’m aware of, just the occasional singing. I tend to sing the “ore wa madamada chikin raisu de iiya” part :P

“H jungle with t” was it called. But the info on wikipedia it’s only in Japanese or French available.

Love the first video, though check out 3:03 singing without the need of a microphone is very impressive!

Haha I was fooled by that the first time too. She’s just singing along, but the one who’s actually singing is Iida Kaori, the girl on the left :P

Given that Momusume was the first intentional Japanese I ever heard, it does feel nostalgic.

Oh cool :) When did you start listening to Morning Musume?

Very first time was more than 5 years ago, but that was ‘unintentional’.
The first time I was listening to Japanese music was 2 years ago.

I see! So is Morning Musume your favorite group now or have you moved on to other things?^^

Was my first fav Japanese band.
But now they got replaced by a mix of Nakashima Mika, Perfume, Nishino Kana, B’z, Remioromen, Ketsumeshi.

Btw you should do a post on ケツメイシ. (Well if you like it)

Why no AKB48 X-mas? At least they are popular now. :P

Who says there won’t be an AKB48 Christmas? :)
