Nintendo 3DS CM’s featuring Arashi

Published on January 9th, 2011.

The Nintendo 3DS is Nintendo’s newest portable console. It’s all set to be released in Japan on February 26, 2011 for ¥25,000 (approx. $300.57 USD) On January 19th, 2011, Nintendo will hold a press conference where the European release date is expected to be announced. A preview event is to be held the same day in New York City.

The 3DS will be able to produce 3D effects without the need for any special glasses. It will also be backward compatible with the Nintendo DS software and have cards that can hold up to 2GB of game data. The system will support multiplayer gameplay through a local wireless connection.

Also, what is cool, is that it has 3D movie playback capability. I read that Nintendo has made a deal with Warner Bros, Disney and dreamworks.

Oh yes, and Mii’s will be available to use. There will be a new Mii creator on the 3DS, and you will have the ability to import Mii’s from the Wii.

But that is not the best part….. Get ready for it. Johnny’s Entertainment Idol group, Arashi are featured in a CM series advertising the new 3DS. It makes sense since Arashi have been featured in Nintendo CM’s for Wii party in 2010.

To read more about the new 3DS hop over to Nintendo E3 Network.

To see each Arashi member’s CM’s head on over to Nintendo Japan’s site.

Hey everyone, my name is Amy. I’m a Graphic Design student/Visual Artist who absolutely loves everything Japanese. I am a HUGE Arashi fan, but don’t worry, I’m not going to write about just Arashi. I hope write about a wide range of topics involving Japan. My other favorite things are raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. ;)

Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!

I’m very excited about this, laid in bed watching the live event on Ustream and thanks to that I really want one! But I’ll probably wait till I get to Japan in June. I liked Ohno’s and Nino’s CM more though :P

And again, welcome to the team! I hope you’ll have a great time writing here with the rest of us :)

    Yoroshiku ne!

I’m a little biased when it comes to Masaki Aiba. But I really liked Ohno’s and Sakurai’s.

Thanks again! I happy to be part of the team, and look forward to writing more posts.:)

Ah I see, well, I guess I’m a little biased when it comes to Nino. But Nino’s definitely the gamer in the group so it felt extra genuine^^

I was actually writing about how Nino is the gamer in the group, but for some reason or another decided not to. They all have interesting reactions to the console. :) I like the concept of the CM’s too. They look like they are genuinely surprised. Same with the Wii party CM’s.

Yeah! Actually as I watched the live event, I noticed that everyone were genuinely surprised, so I’m definitely excited about seeing it with my own eyes.

Welcome, welcome! Drama guru at your service. I still don’t get how it’ll be 3D, but I’m excited. Nintendo always make the best hand-held device imo.

Thank you! Nice to meet you!
I’m kind of curious how it will be 3d without glasses myself.

Oh! A fellow Graphic Design student! sweet. As for Japanese, I haven’t taken any courses, but I’ve taught myself to read hiragana and katakana. Some kanji. I know a ton of vocab, but I need to work on sentences. I probably could improve, but I’ve been slacking off lately. (lol)

Will definitely be interesting too see, I have no idea what to expect of it^^

Sentences is easy, Japanese grammar is one of the easiest things in the language so it shouldn’t take long before you can write whole blog posts in Japanese ;)

Yeah… I think the iPhone as a gaming device is pretty damn awesome too though!

True, true, but without any actual buttons it can be hard sometimes. Well, for me anyway. ^^

Yeah it’s a different kind of handheld gaming device I guess, casual.

    Hey Amy!!! Welcome welcome. *(^o^)/*

Man, this is awesome! I must admit I am a Arashi fan. More so for their game show, VS Arashi, but some of their songs are pretty catchy.

Where part of Canada are you located in? I live just outside of Edmonton.

I’m glad everyone likes Arashi too! <3 VS Arashi is fun, but I'm into Arashi ni Shiyagare and Himitsu no Arashi chan. (and Arashi no Shukudai kun when it was still on)

I'm waaaay on the other side of the country in Moncton,New Brunswick. :P

    • http://myshashin.tumblr.com TicTaek

Moncton eh? I’ve never been there myself but visiting the East Coast is on my list of things to do. Someday, someday.

    • http://twitter.com/Ami1982 Amy Miller

you should! I suggest Moncton (of course) and Halifax :)
