Otaku Army Girls

Published on September 14th, 2009.

I don’t know what Otaku Army is all about, but I like how they promote it^^

Otaku Army Girls

Photo by swanky, check out his Flickr stream for more nomable stuff!

I wonder what it is they don’t want to forget? Maybe I have a reader who understands Chinese?^^ The photo title says “品果兔之勿忘88水災受難同胞及殉職弟兄!” if that’s any help.

From the words it roughly translates into Anti-Otaku Brigade or Army… 0_0

Haha really? xD I sure didn’t expect that…

Well, that’s not very nice of them. Don’t they know that it’s the “geeky” guys that tend to make the bigger paychecks in today’s world?

Maybe they’re the only three girls who put love before money? xD

      ..and I still don’t know what they are doing. Hunting down otaku and showing them the pleasures of the 3D world? If so, sign me up ^^;

I wonder if the shirt the girl on the left is wearing is an “Engrish” shirt?

They look nice, regardless. Their hats are cute. I wonder if that’s coming back into style in the US as well now? I’ll have to ask my relatives about it. I saw an American wearing one in the airport in Tokyo once on a layover. He’d been in Japan for a few years.

I think it’s a different language^^ And indeed the hats are cute, don’t see girls wearing them here in Sweden very often.

    Hello~
I’m the photographer who shot this photo.
We want to use these stickers to recall the people dead during Typhoon Morakot.
It’s a huge disaster in Taiwan!

“Otaku Army” is just the organization name which made these stickers~ :)
    The website is:

Oh I see, I should read the papers more often cause I didn’t even know about that disaster =/ The stickers make a lot more sense now^^ Good thing I live pretty high up over the sea, the water wouldn’t reach my home.

      Thanks for stopping by!
