Peeping Life

Peeping Life is an anime of short skits made by popular Japanese comic-duos. I’m watching it on Crunchyroll and there’s 3 episodes so far. What I think is fun about this anime is that it’s “based on” real life situations. Don’t you just love watching other couples arguing over something totally pointless for example? As fun as every random school girl anime is, I’ve never seen an anime like this before and I think it’s fun to watch something you can connect to in a totally different way.

Peeping Life 1 Ferris Wheel Liaison

The first episode is about a chief and his subordinate discussing old movies and dating techniques while on a ferris wheel. I don’t know how they ended up on a ferris wheel together, do you ever go on a ferris wheel with your chief?

Peeping Life 2 Underwear Company Businessman

In the second video the boss of an underwear company talks with a young salesman about his lack of enthusiasm in his job. He actually wants him to try the female underwear on to be able to see it all from the customer’s point of view xD

Peeping Life 3 Fiddle-Fadde Couple

This is my favorite so far, a girlfriend getting mad because the dude’s “it’s cute” wasn’t enthusiastic enough, and because of that he has to sweet talk her for a good 4 minutes to get things right. Can you relate? :P

I definitely recommend this anime, watch it on Crunchyroll right here.

Oh and while we’re talking anime, I also recommend Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, you can read about it over at Jamaipanese’s blog.

definitely looks like peeping life would be an interesting watch. I haven’t watched anything on Cruchyroll in a while so I guess it’s time for me to return.

Thanks for the mention. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is looking to be a great series.

Great dialogue. Better than some of the oversea film I’ve seen. Good stuff.

It kind of reminds me of one anime short Studio Ghibli did way back. It is about a family and their interactions with their neighbors. I think it is called My neighbors Yamada… I think. Well, the most striking difference from Peeping life is that Peeping life pays attention to different walks of life per episode. The studio ghibli one draws it charm from domesticated family life. It is worth searching for.

I watched 2 of the videos, and I did like the one from the underwear producing company. They sounded like everyday conversations, and where a bit amusing. :)
