Or more likely, there was a cat fight going on, since I saw brown hairballs too. Didn’t take any pics of the brown hair though, it was pretty nasty. This could be something else though, I’m not really a cat hair expert, I’m just guessing this is what it is… What do you think?

Hmm, doesn’t really look like any animal hair… looks more like someone killed their pillow or mattress :/
Looks like cotton.. I have cats, it doesn’t look like animal hair… Maybe santa has a cotton beard :)
