If you’re in Harajuku and looking for a place to eat lunch, Shakey’s might be an interesting place to visit. If you go during lunch time you’ll be able to have a tabehoudai (eat all you can), and it’s cheap. The place is packed though, chances are you’ll have to stand in line before you can go in. But if you’re lucky like us, you’ll get a window seat so you can sit and stare on the people missing out on this amazing place.
Shakey’s has pretty much all the pizzas you can possibly think of, a few different pastas and some other snacks included in the tabehoudai. Perhaps the most important thing to try are their dessert-pizzas, pizzas with strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate sauce and so on.
The dessert-pizzas come in a few variations, one has cornflakes on it, but I decided to go with the strawberry/marshmallow one and the banana/marshmallow/chocolate sauce one. You won’t be disappointed.
Bring some friends and your pizzas will taste even better!

I love Shakey’s! The one my friends and I went to in Kyoto did all-you-can-eat at dinner so we were a little disappointed that it was only for lunch in Harajuku, since we were there in the evening. I’m pretty sure we sat in that same booth though, incidentally.
Oh I see, might give the one in Kyoto a try when I go there, for dinner then^^ Same table huh? That’s pretty awesome :D No pics?
There’s one of these in Manila that I’m going to be trying out pretty soon. My wife had pointed it out to me because she knows I like pizza but she’s never been there because she doesn’t. So, at least now I know a little of what to expect. There’s a place like this in the US but I can’t remember what it’s called anymore. They had some good spinach pizza.
