The Shochu brewery Takahashi Shuzou has launched a new campaign for its Shiro drink with the goal of bringing people together, online and offline, targeting women and the younger generations in Japan. And while the web app, “Cheers System”, is a fun part of the campaign, the commercial itself is just, astounding in my opinion.
According to Japan Trends, 75% of young women in their twenties and thirties seldom drink nihonshu, hence the highly targeted campaign. So if this becomes popular online, that hard fact might slowly begin to change.
I don’t know about you, but this sure makes me want to drink nihonshu, preferably together with these fine girls in the commercial :)
