Sleep next to Japanese Girls with Sleep Doll iPhone App

If you’re a guy having a hard time falling asleep at night, I have just the right app for you. It’s a Japanese app called Sleep Doll and it lets you sleep next to cute Japanese models.

So what this app does is really simple, you get a list of girls to choose from, pick one and then you watch her sleep. If that isn’t creepy enough for you, you can also tap or rub the screen to make her interact with you. The girl will respond in various ways such as sleep talking, rolling around and letting weird noises out. However, they can also get angry if you touch them too much.

The game comes pre-installed with two full version models for free and then there’s another three girls you can purchase in-game (or try their demos).

Although it is a somewhat creepy app, watching someone sleep can definitely make you sleepy too… But somehow I doubt that’s the app’s real intention.

    I had this app since ages, wasn’t it me who mentioned this to you? Why is it creepy? It’s meant to be kawaii App. It’s for people in Japan who will probably never get a girl stay and sleep next to them, great GF simulator for those lonely otaku out there. :)

      I found it on the App Store when randomly browsing around in it :) It is a cute app, but still a little creepy watching people sleep xD

      I think the reason it’s creepy is because it’s stalker-like and voyeuristic. It also shows the growing problem where people are disconnecting from reality and turning to machines and computers for virtual emotional satisfaction. This is the breakdown of society in action. If an otaku is having trouble getting a real girl, then maybe he needs to reevaluate his life and decide whether it’s more important for him to avidly pursue a figure collection / poster collection / body pillow collection, or to get laid and reproduce.

      Well, they’re not really having trouble finding a girl, because they’re not looking for one. Just like the herbivorous men, they find satisfaction in other ways. So I think most of these people have already decided that their hobbies or way of life are more important than getting laid. It’s certainly a big issue, especially in Japan with their aging population.

      My reply was based on what PinkuHoshi said. His comment was about otaku who will never be able to get a girl to stay next to them through the night in real life, the “lonely otaku out there”. That indicates a desire for real companionship but an inability to get it.

      I imagine there are people that have completely sworn off real women, or men for that matter. Real relationships can be a real pain in the ass that you can’t simply switch off or put in the closet. Well, not without serious consequences anyway. Ha ha ha. Anyway, nothing wrong with that, if that’s what they want to do, but they can’t choose that lifestyle and then complain that they’re not getting real women.

      Body pillows rock, I love them. But I don’t need an anime girl on it, I just think they’re really comfortable :P

    This is definitely creepy. I doubt the real intent of the app has anything to do with making a person feel sleepy.

    This does remind me of something I read though. Women sleep better when there’s someone else in the bed with them, but men wake up less rested if they share a bed.

    Japanese consumer share of VPL’s is huge (Virgin Perverted Looser). And since there is a market they will make products that will cater their needs. It’s simple marketing they don’t care if a customer is antisocial, sad, pathetic, or will die alone, if he pays that’s all they need.
    World is cruel, and it would be silly not to make app’s like this if you can make money out of it.
    It won’t harm anyone anyway, so what if a guy who will never meet a girl without paying, watches or rubs one off while watching a cute girl sleeping. The girls where not forced to perticipate in this.
    Because of these lonely young/middle age men, Japan made some great inventions like: Body pillows, Oppai mausepad, onaholes, panty vending machines, dating simulators, games like love plus, it even helps their economy. So more app’s like this please, but make them global and not just on the Japanese app store. ^^;

      No one says it’s bad to make the app, it’s a gold mine for business men and developers, but that doesn’t make the app less creepy :P

      And yes, it does help their economy in the short term, but with the aging population growing, in the long term it’s not good that more men become herbivores, otakus and hikikomoris. But of course that’s only one of the many things causing the aging population to grow.

      There are certain things that should remain private and anonymous, weird fetishes included. I noticed that here in the US, you can get prepaid Visa or Mastercard cards and, I assume, use them for online purchases without having to reveal your identity.

      Unfortunately these guys do not make for the kind of go getters that the Japanese economy needs to get out of its funk. Or Japanese politics for that matter. And Japanese women need sex too :-p.
