If you’ve kept yourself up to date in the Japan blogosphere lately you probably know of Akiba:F, a futuristic otaku blood donation facility in Akihabara, Tokyo.

Akiba:F is a really cool facility and this is what all of these sort of organizations should aim for, make the visit interesting and I will gladly donate and help out more.

Now of course otaku culture isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, Keisuke Maeda of UID Architects has given it a completely different approach with this dentist clinic in Fukyama, Hiroshima.

Going to the dentist is really something no one likes to do, I’ve had braces so I would know. And it doesn’t really help that everything is white like if you were visiting a shrink. And at least around here, the place is often cramped so when you’re in the waiting room you can hear the sounds of teeth getting drilled and other stuff you just don’t want to hear at all.
