Celeb to Binbo Taro

This is a comedy drama starring our one and only Ueto Aya. The drama tells you about a very rich girl miraculously falling in love with a very poor widowed father of three. When they first met by accident, falling into a hole in the ground, they certainly didn’t expect what was soon going to happen. As the poor Taro eventually had to look for a new job to support his family, he ended up getting the job as Mitazono Alice’s limousine driver, which was going to change his life drastically.

Besides Ueto Aya, there are a few other famous faces I’d like to mention. Let’s start with Kamiji Yusuke (Binbo Danshi, Scrap Teacher) who plays the part of Sato Taro. His acting is a lot like it was in Binbo Danshi where he played the role of a host club owner’s assistant. Kamiji Yusuke is totally giddy with a good sense of humor and very lovable, which you can see in Celeb to Binbo Taro clearly.

I’d also like to mention Kashiwabara Takeshi who plays the role as Gotoda Tsukasa. I’ve only seen him once before, in Hachimitsu to Clover, and I don’t really remember much about his role in that one though. But I really liked his acting in Celeb to Binbo Taro, he has a very fitting asshole-image (no offense, that’s supposed to be a compliment for his good acting, haha). I’ll be looking forward to see more of him in the future, some suspense/mystery would probably fit him well.

Celeb to Binbo Taro was an entertaining drama comedy-wise, and the romance wasn’t bad either. I felt like it could be a tad bit more serious at some parts to make the romance better though, but that’s no biggy.

Overall it’s a good drama, and if you’re a fan of Ueto Aya just like me, it’s a must watch. What other dramas do you like where Ueto Aya is the main character? I’m going to recommend Shimokita Sundays, you can follow the link and read more about it there, it’s worth checking out!
