I mentioned Bloody Monday in the previous post about the Autumn 2008 drama highlights. Now that I’ve seen more of it, I believe that it deserves it’s own post. The story is basically about a government corporation (THIRD-i) and a genius teenage hacker who fights against a group of terrorists who tries to release a deadly virus in Tokyo. This virus is called Bloody X and is an airborne virus that if released will kill 8 million people in the first week. Their point is, with their hands on an antidote, they’ll be able to decide who gets to live and who doesn’t, and by that becoming God.
Bloody Monday is a really exciting watch and actually has a few really good actors. The main character is played by Miura Haruma (Koizora, Binbo Danshi) who does a great job as usual. The one I was most surprised by is Narimiya Hiroki, he’s a really good actor and I had no idea he was in the cast of Bloody Monday. Narimiya Hiroki plays the role as the terrorist leader and certainly does that in an interesting way. Next up to mention is Kichise Michiko, who could very well be the definition of hotness. Kichise is also a part of the terrorist group and she is amazingly fitting for that role.
The drama also has a lot of other good actors such as Tanaka Tetsushi, Matsushige Yutaka, Harada Kana (cute!), Katase Nana etc. It’s really good overall, it has a good mix of action and drama, a great story and a fair amount of eye candy for both the girls and the boys.
