The First Successful Johnny’s Idol Group: Four LeavesPublished on January 20th, 2011.
Formed in 1967, Four Leaves was the second group and the first success from the talent agency Johnny’s & Associates. Four Leaves was a four-member group and they debuted in 1968 with their single Olivia no Shirabe.
Four Leaves disbanded in 1978 but was reunited in 2002 and continued to perform for 7 more years. In 2009 their lead singer, Takashi Aoyama, died of cancer which ultimately led to the group disbanding again.
Although the music itself might not be the most appealing to the younger generations today, they’re certainly a lovable bunch^^
