UNIQLO X One Piece
So, there are a couple of things in this world that I just can’t live without. The first being clothing and the second being pirates. Imagine how surprised I was when I learnt that UNIQLO is a Japanese clothing company and One Piece was a manga/anime series full of wacky and crazy pirates.
Okay, enough of the sarcasm, I totally knew about these things a long time ago, but I never paid much attention to UNIQLO collabs until I was bored one today and started browsing.
Luckily for me, my wildest dreams were about to come true.
I must say that when I saw the amount of designs they had for One Piece, I was much too happy for my own good. And though my happiness was great and all, a problem presented itself. I want one of each! Wait, I can’t buy one of each, that’s bloody ridiculous. So if I can’t have all of them (about 20), then 2 will have to do. Check that link to see all the glorious designs.
I ultimately decided on 2 and will be back to claim more t-shirt bounty sometime in the near future.
I started looking on eBay for these shirts, but I felt I could do better when it came to finding a price point that I was comfortable with. So, in the end, I ended up trying White Rabbit Express (“Your Single Source for Anything from Japan”) for my first time. I can say this quite easily that it was worth dealing with these guys for the sheer fact of how it smooth the whole process was. Not only that, but I ended up saving money (about $20 CDN) compared to what I was seeing on eBay. I was provided with updates throughout the whole process so I always knew what stage my order was in. I had even received courtesy emails because of a postal strike that was ongoing in Canada when my package was set to ship. White Rabbit Express will definitely be seeing me again. Thanks!
I actually received the t-shirts today and they fit wonderfully, mostly. I ordered Medium in all three, yes three, shirts that I ordered. The One Piece mediums fit so very nice. But the 3rd random shirt that I bought, another collab with a tiny game called Monster Hunter, is a different story. It’s a much tighter fit than I expected it to be. But, you be the judge….?
