Today I didn’t really have anything special in mind, so I just went out for a walk. I walked towards Hanzomon station at first but when I got there I noticed that there were still one direction I hadn’t walked in before.
For quite a while there were just random boring buildings and nothing to take photos of. But eventually I noticed a sign pointing to Kameido, and it was pretty obvious that I started walking that way being the Kamei Eri fan I am.
Eventually I came across a rather big place, but the stores were mostly nothing for me. After walking through that place, the Kameido signs vanished so I decided to make a left. And all of a sudden, I was in Akihabara!
If that’s not a sign, what is? Akiba is like a magnet to me it seems^^ It took me a while of course, but if I were to actually walk straight to Akiba, I don’t think it would take too long.
Well, in Akiba I went in to SofMap and some other stores to look at a netbook and a Nintendo DS. Does anyone know if the Japanese DS has English on it? Might be interested in getting me one. In SofMap they also have lots of cheap music and DVDs. Almost bought some Hello! Project music and some Gaki no Tsukai/Matsumoto Hitoshi DVDs.
After a while I got tired so I went to a cafe/restaurant I scouted on my previous trip to Akiba.
Cafe Brauner is in the same building as Starbucks near Yodobashi-Akiba. Ordered a coffee and Hayashi rice! Their Hayashi rice is really nice (no pun intended :P) and the salad you get with each order is amazing! Oh and isn’t that little pitcher of milk cute?^^

Yonasu, Im in Nagasaki at the moment (I took some pics today, Ill upload them later onto my blog)
Im wondering when youre leaving tokyo, Id love to meet up with you, Ill buy you a drink ;)
I gradually making my way through Japan, Ill be in Fukuoka tommorow. Will you still be in Tokyo come February?
I have a Japanese Nintendo DSi that I imported back when it was released and even though it is in Japanese only, it has no region restrictions so you can lay any (legal) DS game, no matter language. The official DSi games that are coming (there are some out already) though will require a DSi machine from the correct region.
To sum up: a Japanese Nintendo DSi is in Japanese, but it can play any and all regular DS games; however it can only play Japanese DSi games – fortunately, though, there aren’t a lot of these yet. :)
Wondering if this Cafe Brauner was founded by an Austrian/German?
That little pitcher of milk isn’t uncommon. oO Oh wait I’m from the western coffee capital. ^_^
