Wasabi Nuts

March 8, 2010 · 8 comments

in Japan

I bought these wasabi nuts in Japan, didn’t open it until I got home. So far I’ve had two and given one to a friend… yeah, they’re not that good.

I expected them to taste better to be honest, but they’re definitely better than the tasteless crystal candies I bought at Daiso in Harajuku^^

Do you like wasabi nuts?

Meh. They sell those here in Singapore. I don’t care for them. I’d rather have American Corn Nuts.

I like dried green peas, with or without the wasabi.

They’re peas, though, right? There are wasabi peas and then there are wasabi nuts, but those are definitely peas. I ate both as snacks as a kid, but I like wasabi peas better.

I honestly couldn’t tell the difference, haha. They’re green, hard and they taste like peanuts with wasabi on them, but you’re probably right :P

Wasabi Nuts are NOT for eating! I mean, HAVE YOU SEEN THAT COLOR?!!
The first time I tried it I had to eat a bar of soap to get that taste out of my mouth. I do like me some Wasabi here and there (preferrably with sushi), but in the form of Wasabi Nuts… they fall in the same category as Natto (including 生卵-slapped on top).

I even get a weird taste in my mouth just by looking at them :P
(Something that looks like goober usually doesnt taste good, and no I don’t do goober, eeew)

Those are peas, homeboy. I love ‘em, eat ‘em all the time. I do like wasabi peanuts better, but they’re way different.
