I finally decided to clean my desk and the rest of my so to call office. It’s been 2 months since last time I showed you pictures of my desk but not much have changed since then. I’ve removed the USB hub and replaced the wireless Apple keyboard with a wired and replaced some stuff on the glass shelf. And of course my new friends Kagamikku and Kona-chan! They’re always keeping me company, although Kagamikku is spacing out most of the time, she’s probably having wet dreams about me^^ Danny’s Mirai-chan and Haruka-chan are also keeping me company with the MiraiClock iPhone app!

The mushroom chair is doing great as a footstool and I got myself another lamp as the lighting was very bad in here. The lighting is still not good enough but it’s not terrible, will have to get some upgrades soon though.

The Microsoft Arc mouse is doing great so far, you can already see that it’s been used a lot though. And as you can see I’m currently not using the Aragaki Yui mousepad, I actually like the feel of this $4 mousepad better, but the Gakky one does look nicer of course.

From left: Marathon, Band of Brothers, The Professor and His Beloved Equation, The Sinking of Japan, Buddha

I think it’s time for an upgrade soon, my glass shelf is in need of some new figures and I have some in mind, I just have to decide on one (or two)^^

very nice and organised, I need to clean my desk to optimize productivity! I especially like the simplicity of the DVD’s and Buddha statue :D

Thanks, and yeah, I like to keep it clean and simple. It really does help a lot in many ways if you have a clean desk. Your desk seemed to be clean last time I saw a pic of it, although that might’ve been a one time thing? :P

I actually prefer mousepads that have the built in wrist rests. I haven’t been able to find one that I like so I’ve been using a rather skanky one for quite a while. It’s nice and broken in, but needs to find its way into a trash can soon.

I see, wrist rests has never been my thing, I think they’re pretty uncomfy actually. But if you want one I recommend the oppai mousepads xD

Oppai huh? I’ll keep that in mind.

My wrist starts to hurt if I don’t use the wrist wrest. I guess it’s because most of the jobs I’ve had in the last 4 years have required me to spend a lot of time in front of a computer, in addition to my personal time in front of a computer. Well, that and maybe it’s because my family has a history of arthritis and I worry about it setting in early. Who knows!? ^_^

I spend A LOT of time in front of the computer as well and I don’t have problems with that, I do try to sit ergonomically and change position often however. Don’t want to damage my body after all.

I hope you’ll be saved from the arthritis!

Oh and if you’re not familiar with the oppai mousepads, you can take a look here (not safe for work however). http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/1623/Oppai+Mouse+Pad.html

Win. Those things rock. Double win. My wife said she’ll buy me one and she wants one too.

yonasu September 21, 2009 at 4:41 pm

Haha! Your wife is so awesome :D

My desk is pretty cluttered right now too. Oh well. I prefer sparse, utilitarian type work areas, but that hasn’t been the case for me lately. Maybe in a few months I’ll redo some things.

Haha then clean it Jamai! It’s gonna feel really great when you’re done ;) Clutter is never good, but too simple can be bad as well.

That’s a lot of stuff… It must be really messy, unless your desk is huuuge^^ And why the hell do you have a CRT monitor still? xD

Shining Star September 22, 2009 at 4:09 pm

Because it was cheap, when I moved to UK I had to save money till I had a job, and a 19 inch Sony was 30 pounds, and my desk isn’t huge it’s almost half as big as yours it’s a small PC desk not much wider than keyboard + mouse space.

I see :P You need to do something about that now that you have a job, I would go mad if all that stuff was on my desk xD

Your right,I should leave something Japanese and cool on my desk like a Tenga fliphole. :D
